DEAM provides emergency food and financial aid to those who meet eligibility requirements for residency, and can provide the necessary documentation.
DEAM provides services to all qualifying residents without regard to race, gender, age, religion, or sexual orientation. Due to limited financial resources, unfortunately, it is not always possible to help all qualifying residents.
All assistance is handled by appointment only

Items to bring when requesting services
To request DEAM services, please read carefully. For all services:
Residents must provide an ID and be at least 18 years old
- Must bring proof of current residency, such as current utility bill , a recent piece of mail, or lease contract. Drivers license not accepted as proof of address.
- Must bring some form of identification for all family members (birth certificates for children under 18) seeking assistance.
- If requesting financial aid for medical prescriptions, please provide the pharmacy phone number for verification and price check.
- If requesting financial aid for utilities, please provide your utility bill account number. The current bill must have a past amount due for service at the residence within DEAM’s service area.
During Your DEAM Visit
- Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.
- Bring your ID (for self and family members) and the required proof of an address within our service area.
- You may wish to bring a mask to wear to your appointment.
- If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call 404-373-9283 to reschedule.

Food Distribution
DEAM provides emergency food and basic toiletries to qualifying residents. Depending on food pantry stocks, DEAM can generally give out bags of groceries and supplies that will provide three nutritious meals/day for three days for all qualifying family members, once per week. Basic toiletries include soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, feminine hygiene supplies and diapers, and are dependent on current pantry supply.
Food Pantry Location and Schedule:
All clients must schedule an appointment to visit our client choice pantry located at the DEAM office at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
To schedule an appointment please call 404-373-9283. Appointments will be scheduled on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri (closed Wed), between 9:00-11:30am. Clients are asked to arrive promptly for their scheduled appointment.

DEAM Office Closings
DEAM is closed on Wednesdays.
Inclement weather:
If City Schools of Decatur are closed or delayed due to inclement weather, the DEAM office will be closed. School closings are updated on WSB radio, WSBradio.com, and other local TV, radio and internet media.
Holidays:
DEAM will be closed around Christmas, the week of July 4th in the summer and on the following holidays:
